Medical Exclusion

In the interest of keeping all of our children and staff healthy, we encourage you to stop and assess your child if you feel there is a possibility that they are under the weather.

Pick-up Changes

We understand that at times parents are unable to pick up their child. When it is necessary for someone other than the child’s parents to pick up, please notify the day care office and staff ahead of time. Upon arrival, the designated pick-up person will be asked for ID. Children will not be released to anyone who cannot provide a picture ID that confirms the name submitted. Parents will be contacted immediately to clarify and confirm or correct the pick-up confusion.

Building safety

The security for our children, faculty and staff is our first priority. All entrances to the day care, school, and church are locked at all times.

Safety and Preparedness

Drills and safety teaching are used to maintain safety and preparedness. Students and staff participate in monthly fire drills and annual tornado and earthquake drills.

Intruder drills are conducted a minimum of twice per year and are done in a manner that instills confidence and not fear. This drill is done with the sole purpose of teaching the students what to do in the event that someone enters into our building with the intent to harm. As this is a sensitive matter, the book titled I’m Not Scared, I’m Prepared is used to teach the children. This book was published through the ALICE training institute, which works with schools to prepare for this type of incident.

Staff Certifications

As the safety and well-being of our children and staff is vital, staff is certified in First Aid and CPR. They are also certified in identifying concussions and sudden cardiac arrest.
